VVFF MEMBER, KRISTAL KENT, PRESENTS AT THE OHIO AMERICAN LEGION 13TH DISTRICT 2021 WINTER CONFERENCE

On Sunday December 5th, 2021, Veteran Voices For Fibromyalgia Founder, Kristal Kent, was a guest speaker at the American Legion 13 TH District of Ohio Winter Conference.

Kristal reviewed the unique needs of Military Service Members, Veterans and First Responders living with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain Syndrome. She also outlined the many Awareness, Supportive and Legislative efforts that both Veteran Voices For Fibromyalgia and The Fibromyalgia Pain Chronicles have engaged in to positively impact the Fibromyalgia Community and those living with Chronic Pain medical conditions.

Kristal also discussed the importance of “building a bridge” within the Fibromyalgia Community to provide supportive representation of anyone living with Fibromyalgia, highlighting the importance of working collaboratively with other organizations, in order to amplify the voices of those living with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain Syndrome.

Most importantly, Kristal spoke about the importance of Non-Veterans and Veterans with Fibromyalgia, working cohesively to resolve systemic issues in both the VA and Private Healthcare Systems, to ensure Healthcare Equity, ensure the Medical Needs of those with Fibromyalgia are met, and medical providers validating the symptoms and experiences those living with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain Syndrome contend with on a daily basis.

Thank you to the Ohio American Legion 13th District Commander, Richard Wright, for coordinating the time and platform, providing a space for Veteran Voices For Fibromyalgia to present as a guest speaker and advocate on behalf of those living with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain Syndrome. In addition, a huge thank you to Erich Pfleaidermahnn, VVFF Team Member, who attended the conference, providing added support for VVFF's Mission.
